I am a 25-year-old triathlete from Vail, Colorado with an insatiable drive to compete. I ran in high school for coach Rob Parish, ran NCAA Division 1 Cross Country and Track for Colorado State University and have since crossed over into the triathlon through USA Triathlon's Collegiate Recruitment Program.
I have raced all around America, as well as in Mexico, Brazil, Barbados, Hungary, China, Canada and Switzerland. It has been an incredible opportunity to represent the United States in international championship competition.
While I remain focused on draft-legal racing in the ITU, I also race at various times in the XTERRA off-road series, non-draft races and trail running races.
I believe there are no shortcuts to success in triathlon or other endurance sports, and enjoy reaping the rewards of hard work through competition.

Swim. Bike. Run. And the stories that come along the way. For more detailed updates about my schedule, results, training, and general whereabouts, please visit and subscribe to my blog at www.thattri.blogspot.com.
When I was a kid, I remember the assemblies when professional athletes would come and speak. I remember staying up late watching the Olympic games and idolizing the athletes on the podium. Athletes have always been my heroes. As I transition to professional competition, appear on television, in magazines and newspapers, I realize I have become that which I once idolized. Now I have an opportunity to give back.
I enjoy working with youth athletes as a volunteer coach and sharing my story from aspiring runner to professional athlete. I have worked with various teams in Colorado and spoken at a number of schools and hospitals. Whether it is working with a team on their run form, speaking in a crowded auditorium, or talking with curious individuals, I am happy to give back what I can.
I also work closely with individual athletes looking to attain collegiate athletic scholarships. The NCAA scholarhisp process can be overwhelming and I offer my council free of charge to anyone that has questions before making the significant commitment of collegiate athletics.
